Our Story
Three hockey guys, a garage brewing habit, a love for Eagle River, and a seize-the-moment name that stuck.

From kitchen batch to 10 BBL.
The first batch happened in Reido's kitchen before the operation moved to the garage. After eight extract batches, the crew moved into all-grain brewing on a homemade 10-gallon system built from old half-barrel kegs, then fabricated a 40-gallon setup to keep up with demand.
In 2014 they headed to the Craft Brewers Conference in Denver, learning from professional brewers, seminars, the trade show and brewery visits throughout the trip. In August 2015, OMR made the leap from garage-scale batches to its first commercial brew on a new 10 BBL system.
A hockey term with the right energy.
An odd-man rush is the moment when the offense breaks forward with a numbers advantage. For three former hockey players, the name captured the idea of recognizing an opening and going for it.
Bring the community together.
OMR is proud of the beer, but equally proud of the taproom culture and the role the brewery plays in its hometown of Eagle River.

Don't put the beer in one box.
OMR's own answer is that it does not want to be pigeonholed into one style. The brewery has made beer across a wide range of categories and also developed a small barrel-aging program.
- Hazy, West Coast, Cold, Raw and Black IPAs
- Stouts and porters
- Lagers
- Kettle sours
- Farmhouse saisons
- Barrel-aged sours and stouts
